Stellar Blade: Complete Edition launches on Switch 2 November 5, and the release date isn’t even the most interesting part of this story. The interesting part is that it’s happening at all. Shift Up’s Eve started life in April 2024 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, published directly by Sony Interactive Entertainment.y.

The Switch 2 version ships as the Complete Edition — meaning every piece of DLC released for the PS5/PC versions is already in the box, no separate season pass to track down. Digital runs $59.99 / £54.99; a physical steelbook edition through Panax Games goes for $69.99 / £69.99.
Here’s the detail that actually matters if you’ve been burned before: this is not a Game-Key Card. The entire game sits on a 32GB cartridge, on-disc, no forced download to actually play it day one. After a year of third-party publishers treating Switch 2 physical releases as glorified download vouchers, a full cart is worth calling out explicitly rather than burying in a spec sheet — it’s the bare minimum a “physical edition” should mean, and increasingly it isn’t.
The reveal trailer doubled as a crossover announcement: Bayonetta-, Nun-, and Jeanne-themed outfits for Eve, from PlatinumGames’ back catalogue, with a fourth costume still unannounced. Pre-ordering also nets you bonus cosmetics for Eve on top of whatever the crossover pack includes. If you skipped both the PS5 launch and last year’s PC port: Stellar Blade is a third-person action game, not really an RPG in the stat-sheet sense, but close enough to the site’s usual territory to be worth flagging — Eve’s Beta and Burst gauges gate her special moves and counters, and the whole thing plays like a love letter to character-action combat with a heavy coat of post-apocalyptic sci-fi over it. Developer Shift Up built it in Unreal Engine 4; critics landed on “generally favorable” (81 on Metacritic), praising the presentation and combat while taking issue with the story. It’s sold over 3 million copies since launch, so “niche” isn’t really the word for it anymore.
